artbase Is in Early Access — Join Now and Become a Founding Member

artbase is in early access. Join the waitlist to reserve your username and earn the Founding Member role and badge — free Pro membership for life, as a thank you for being here first.

Update — artbase is no longer invite-only. Early access ended when artbase launched publicly in July 2026. There’s no waitlist and no invite code anymore: anyone can sign up at artbase.au directly. The Founding Member badge lives on a little longer — it’s going to the first 100 members, a count that includes everyone who joined during the period described below. The rest of this post is kept as it was written at the time.

artbase is officially in early access — and if you’ve been waiting for the right moment to join, this is it. The first wave of artists is being welcomed in right now, and the people who join during this period get something nobody else ever will.

Here’s everything you need to know.

What is artbase?

artbase is a community-driven platform for digital artists, proudly built in Australia and open to artists everywhere. It’s a place to build a portfolio you’re proud of, genuinely connect with other creators, and grow an audience — without chasing an algorithm.

In short, artbase gives you:

  • A home for your portfolio. Upload your digital art to a clean, distraction-free gallery built to let your work speak for itself.
  • A real community. Follow, like, and connect with artists who share your style. artbase is a community, not a feed — a platform built around its members, not the algorithm.
  • Room to grow. Get discovered by art lovers and collaborators across Australia and beyond, and build the following your work deserves.

We’re brand new and in early beta, hand-picking the first wave of artists to keep the community focused and the quality high.

Get in early and claim your username

Because artbase is so new, virtually every username is still available. Join now and you can reserve the name you actually want — no numbers tacked on the end, no underscores, no settling for your third choice.

Your username becomes your identity and your portfolio link, so getting in early means getting it right. Once the community grows, the short and memorable names will be the first to go.

Joining the waitlist is free, and reserving your username costs nothing. No spam, ever.

The Founding Member role and badge

Everyone who joins during early access receives the Founding Member role and badge on their profile.

This isn’t just a cosmetic label. As a thank you for believing in artbase from the very beginning, the Founding Member role is equivalent to free Pro membership for life. The features that will later be part of a paid Pro plan? Founding Members get them included, forever, at no cost.

And here’s the important part: once the early access period ends, the Founding Member role and badge will never be obtainable again. No promotions, no second chances, no “founding member — wave two.” When it’s gone, it’s gone. The badge on your profile will always mark you as one of the artists who was here first.

To be clear about what changes at public launch: new sign-ups won’t receive the badge, lifetime Pro ends, and Pro becomes a regular paid subscription for everyone who joins after launch. artbase will still be free to join — but the founding perks are, by definition, a founding-era thing.

How invites work

artbase is invite-only during early access. Getting in takes three steps:

  1. Join the waitlist. Add your email at artbase.au/landing to get in line — we’ll keep you updated as more spots open up.
  2. Receive your invite. When your spot is ready, we’ll email you a personal invite code. Codes are also shared by existing members — every member receives 5 invite codes each month to bring in artists whose work they love — so if you know someone already on artbase, ask them! A friend’s code moves you straight past the queue.
  3. Welcome to artbase. Use your code to register, claim your username, set up your portfolio, and start connecting with the community — Founding Member badge included. That applies however you got in: anyone who joins with an invite code during early access becomes a Founding Member too, same badge, same lifetime Pro.

Why join during early access?

If you’re on the fence, here’s the honest pitch:

  • Your username is waiting. The name you want is almost certainly still free — for now.
  • Free Pro for life. The Founding Member role is the only way to get lifetime Pro membership, and it disappears when early access ends.
  • Shape the platform. Early members have a real voice in what artbase becomes. The feedback from our first artists directly drives what we build next.
  • Grow with the community. Being early means your work is easier to discover, and the connections you make now become the foundation of your audience.

Ready to claim your spot?

Early access won’t last forever, and neither will the Founding Member role. Join the waitlist at artbase.au, reserve your username, and be part of artbase from the very beginning.

We can’t wait to see your art.
